I've only seen photos of it before. Dave on another forum ran across this:

Norm: "I don't recognize a lot of these tools because they don't have cords or even the Delta triangles with tape over them. Very strange."

At least he knows what a spokeshave is .

I'm kidding, I like Norm. You can now get the FWW poster for your computer desktop:

That has to be one of the most well-known single pieces or woodworking in the world.

I really wonder what that would cost to purchase...

It's priceless really. How many of us could afford the Stanley #1 plane? Beautiful piece of work. Wonder what Studley's pianos looked like…

Actually, H. O. was a pattern maker at the end. Piano work in that day was mostly paid by the piece so no one person built a piano from scratch. That said, pattern maker was one of the best positions in the factory. Ivers & Pond, where he finished his career was a top maker of the day.
Folks are amazed when they find out that around 1910, one in eight people on the east coast were involved in some aspect of piano manufacture. Today we are down to Steinway, Mason & Hamlin and Charles Walter but they are very fine pianos.
Just a little trivia from my day job,

PS- yes I have the poster hanging in the shop and yes I am working toward a chest with ivory and other inlay. If I can just get these dang pianos out of my way!
