OK, so my shop is still messy but I can actually build stuff in it. I don't have
the energy to work on it during the week so my time is confined to the
weekends. A lot of my stuff is up on 2 shelving units I bought at Lowes. I
can actually walk around now.
In my last post, I moved my old workbench into its new position as my
outfeed table. Since then I closed the gap between the bench and the TS.
I was inspired by a recent FWW article about the ultimate outfeed table. I
was going to build that instead of moving my bench, but my bench won. This
weekend I built a storage unit for my TS accessories. It came together
pretty quickly and I was able to use up a bunch of random plywood pieces I
had lying around.
Here's an overall pic of the shop. You can actually see the TS now. I moved
the BS to the left side of the shop. The planer will probably go back to the
right side. My goal is to make room for a 8" jointer on the right side of the
shop.
The new TS unit gives me space for all my TS accessories like saw blades,
ZCTPs, safety stuff, etc. The open shelf on top holds my panel sled. I still
need to add a shelf on the left side for rip fence storage--not sure how
important that is, though. At some point, I won't have any junk sitting on top
of my rip fence--well maybe except a pencil or two.
You can see my router insert plate to the right. I want to build a cabinet
around the router for dust collection and for bit storage. I'll attach it to the
right side of the TS unit. Maybe next weekend.
Thanks for looking,
Paul
