Best material for outfeed table

    Well, after some more thought and some bright ideas from someone wiser, I realized that I was probably over engineering this thing.
    Here is what I ended up with. Simply a section of a hollow core bifold door, 18" wide hinged at about 34". The 16" section at the end folds back and stays in place with some velcro. One end rests on my roller stand and the other is attached with hinges, t-nuts from the accessory kit and studded knobs. It is easy to move along the rail to where it is needed and folds down when not needed.

      Nice solution, Salty! As you say, it's easy to overengineer these things. I tend to keep looking for a perfect solution and never getting anything workable in place!

          I just used the large T-nuts centered on a chunk of scrap that was wide enough to accomodate the 1/2" webbing of the plywood frame of the table.
