Mobile Base question...

Just putting the Woodcraft mobile bases on my bandsaw & jointer finally so I can get things moving around in the shop. As I finished assembling it, I was wondering:

1. Do you guys take the leveling feet off the machine itself?
2. Are you bolting the machine to the underside of the base?

Reason for the "no" on #1: if the floor is uneven or out of level, the mobile base will probably flex enough to keep all four of its corners in contact with the floor. Thus the machine's own levelers may be needed to completely level the machine, even if the MB has levelers on some of its corners.

I have two of the woodcraft units. Unless you cut the plywood to the exact dimensions of the tool you will need the feet to keep the tool from sliding on the plywood.

When I cut my plywood for the bases I measured the tools and added a 1/2 inch to length and width to make it easier to get the tools onto the base by myself. I hate to bug the folks around we with lifting tools. After they see the workshop they all want to borrow my tools.
