    The Playpen Is Closed

    ...for some much needed improvements.

After finishing the long awaited Master Bathroom cabinets (by SWMBO) I started removing the 8 x 12 work deck this afternoon. The new deck will be 12 x 16 and raised slightly so the ramp to move tools in and out can be made lighter. After the current shelving is removed, it will be replaced with wall cabinets along one long wall and across the back wall, increasing the useable floor space. This should give me enough room to set up the 8" jointer and move Ginger's lathe from the back porch to the Playpen.

All the cabinet doors will be rail and stile with 1/4" pegboard inserts and the other long wall will be almost covered in pegboard. I may go ahead and run a subpanel with 50 or 60 amp service at the same time.

Sorry if everyone else already knows this, but are you telling me that your "workshop" is in the form of a deck (covered I assume)?
Cause if so I only have one question...

Anybody in south Texas want to adopt a 40 yr old, his wife (optional ) and 4 yr old daughter (she's really cute!! )
