    • BT3100, is there anything else? :)

    HF DC Starter Set?

Did HF discontinue the DC Starter set? I saw references to it here in the archives but haven't been able to find it online. I am referring to the set with hoses and connectors and blast gates.

    thanks,
    Kevin

I think someone reported that that one had mysteriously disappeared from the HF web site. I just tried searching for it several ways; no luck.

What appeared to be the same kit is/was sold under other names, but as I recall the price was in the $60 range rather than the ~$40 (or less, when on sale) the HF kit cost. I thought one of the names was Woodstock International but at the moment I'm unable to find it on either the Grizzly or amazon.com web sites.

I think General International also has a kit that includes a trash can hood, some clamps, fittings, and 10-20 ft of 4" hose.

I think I found it! Try item number 93601-VGA. $42.99.

BTW - I think this is a new number. The Harborfreightusa.com site also shows a part number 47911 that doesn't return a hit at the harborfreight.com site.

          Thanks!

That is the part number! Thanks!

          93601

My local store has it in stock, but I think the Woodcraft set may be a better deal. I guess it depends on if I can find a valid HF coupon or not.

I will have to take a look at these and compare them.

          Thanks again.

The HF kit has a parts list on page 6 of the user's manual.

Now THAT is truly weird. I know this will seem like a very long coincidence, but they must've just added it back to the online catalog. On Friday, I ran three separate searches, using the keywords dust, accessory, and kit. None of them returned a match. Today, all three of them do, as does searching by the item number.

Whatever the case ... good find, JR!
