    Yeah, that's it! The glue made the MDF swell...that's why it didn't fit!

    Seriously, it was my measuring and clamping that screwed me. I think I tried being a bit too exacting, hoping for a tight friction fit. But what really did it was not getting everything 90 degrees when I clamped it, so the bottom (open) part of the fence was a smidge narrow. [V]

      Measuring is my bugaboo. In my shop 2 + 2 may be 4, but 57 3/16 - 13 9/32 is anybody's random guess. I continually forget that saw blades and stock have thickness. I divide by 4 instead of 3, etc. I make many trips to the lumber yard for extra trim because I cut it too short.
