Well believe it or not all of this started when our new dog cocked a leg on a cabinet we had in the kitchen, which led to SWMBO saying that she didnt want the cabinet in the house anyway which led to me trying to figure out where to put it in the shop which led to this:
Here's the begining just moved the old bench and a few other things:
Here's the lumber rack going in, not huge but then again my lumber pile is directly proportionate to my wallet so this will be more then enough space:
Thats me in the apron and a buddy that was helping me, my daughter was taking a pic so we posed, lol, notice the MDF on the top shelf now, should keep stuff relatively flat and make a nice slick surface to slide it all in and out on,
Heres my sheet storage capability, a nice little 6" gap between the bench and the wall and a stout shelf underneath to hold it all, i think that shelf would hold a buick, if you could get it parked there,
Here it is, pretty much done never mind the mess surrounding it, that will be this weeks after dinner project, I just finished leveling the BT up to it, and i have to say its going to be wonderful, i added a stock ramp to the front of the outfeed table so i no longer catch the front edge, i'll post pics of the shop after its all in its place.
Its a Bench/ Router Table/ Outfeed Table/ Stock Rack, and the best part, it didnt cost me one red cent, everything (including the screws) were left over or scraps, the top is 1 3/4" solid core doors that are going to make up the biggest router table in mecosta county, as of tommorrow morning i will have $150 in it when i order my router plate, fence, tracks and hardware from Hartville, but i dont think i could build a better router table/ bench/ outfeed table/ lumber storage for the same money, well i know it was long winded but thanks for looking,
Kevin
