    My workshop.

I have been reading and viewing with much interest the layouts and designs of peoples workshops.

Here in New Zealand most homes have a single or double car garage and we are well known as a nation of DIYers. This is also true of me

Being a bit luckier than some I have a 17 x 15.5 workshop (sinle car garage/w/shop) that has a full sized double carport at the front of it and a concrete apron either side for other cars. This is great as it allows me a full workshop area and space to park cars and store wood.

Just recently I had a change around thanks to Grizzly's online workshop planner. Gotta be a must for us novices trying to make things fit.

I just did a post in the BT3000 section as well but I will put the photo links here as well http://community.webshots.com/user/gremlin128. Feel free to come in and sit a while Feedback is always welcome.

Nice looking shop. Does the box your router is setting in make dust collection simpler/better?
I can't let my cats into the shop; one would always be getting stepped on and the other would be into everything!
Oh, and welcome to our little family!

Thanx guys...and while the box does help control wayward dust 99 percent of all the router shavings and dust is whisked away via the dust collection shute, and into the mini cyclone, which is powered by a 1400watt vacuum cleaner with a truckload of sux.

And yes the ginger apprentice is the lets see how much trouble I can get into type, but she has such an endearing character its very hard to say no. See likes to jump onto the top of the big chest freezer and watch. One day I had the lid up a she decided to jump up, much to her surprise the lid wasnt where she thought it might be and landed in it instead. Instant panick and fur sticking out in all directions. It took me about 10 minutes to stop laughing, and needless to say she didnt put in an appearence again for the rest of the day.

The mini cyclone is very cool. I'd like to see more info on how you made it.
