LOML is out of town helping a daughter that had some outpatient surgery this week. While I am still limping around, I managed to work on a project that I have been wanting to do for a long time.
After Physical Therapy this past week, I went to Lowes a couple of blocks away from PT. I looked at these toolboxes - https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-V...Box/1000578373. - and got an idea. I bought 2 for my two 1/4" compact routers.
I wanted to spot them easily so I bought the nearest spray paint that would correspond to DeWalt and Makita and painted the outside top. I did paint the inside a light beige because I hate hunting for small items inside a black box.
Makita - I have had a corded Makita for several years and I have a few other accessories that I am still looking for.
DeWalt - I purchased a special sale DeWalt CORDLESS compact router recently and also a plunge base too. I certainly needed a LONG extension cord this past fall and saw the benefits of a cordless router. (The sale was to buy a 4Amh and 6Amh and charger and get a tool (router for me) free.)
Now I have the accessories together for the DeWalt, and I am looking for a couple of Lexan bases for the Makita that I haven't seen in a while.
One other note - the Veritas Sliding Square between the two tool boxes in the top picture - I have two of them, one I have had for nearly 30 years. The problem that I have with them is what I have for many tools - the color (black for Veratas) that allows them to hide in a shadow or a tool box without direct light. SO I painted it - 1. flat white and then 2. fluorescent greenish-yellow. I can spot it in a dark box now. That is one of my favorite measuring and marking tools.
