    Pigment VS Dye Finishes.

    In a Q & A to Woodworkers Journal, a pict was sent in concerning sunlight damage to a stained book shelf. The answer discussed "pigment" as in latex for staining wood. I never thought of that.

    Sunlight is the enemy of all types of stains, but pigment stains will weather the test of time better than dye stains will.
