Question about raised panel cabinet?

I am building new kitchen cabinets which will be four lower units. One of these will show on the end .. so I doing a double raised panel. The question I have is concerning the middle style. Should this be glued in the center on the coped ends or should it just be free to move like the panels?

I would think gluing just the middle 3rd of the stile would be fine. It would allow for movement, as long as the panels are floating.

I do not think that you need to worry about movement in a stile. I would glue it.

Plus one on gluing the stile. We had all sorts of this situation when I restored wooden boats glue stile and let your panels float. If wood is going to move a lot it would be in a wooden boat and we never had a problem.
