    Jewelry Box for LOML birthday

I've been working on this off and on for a few weeks.

The wood started as rough sawn 8/4 QSWO. Spent a LOT of time resawing and planing!

My thought is if this turns out well I'll build 3 more for Christmas presents.

Still have to install glass and touch ups.

Looks good. What did you use for the stain and finish?

Very cool - love the drawer pull idea. Are those sized for two fingers?

          Thanks...

First I have to apologize for the really poor photography. I was using a new app on my phone and it really over exposed and then when I cropped it went a little goofy.

The color is analine dye and then a cover of semi-gloss poly at this point. I'm thinking I may overcoat that with satin to reduce the sheen.

The drawer pull formation is a modification from the original plan. It can be two fingers or easy enough with just 1.

The plan is this one I bought a couple of years ago and never got around to until now ... Jewelry Box Plan

                  Very nice!

Before adding a satin coat, you might try buffing the finish with some OOOO steel wool. It's break the shine and also make it smooth to the touch.

                      Bade,

Now you have to fill it up.
