    Assembly / Construction TIP

In November, I bought a three piece tool box from HF (actually, 2 sets) and along with it I bought 2 drawer organizers of this type and 2 of this type..

I soon learned that pre-formed drawer organizers usually take up too much space and leave only about 70% of the space to actual tools, OR some of the tools that you want to include won't fit that organizer. They are good and well for a few tools but when you have 40 years of tools, one needs all the space they can get. So, I did not use the organizers for my tool box.

BUT I DID FIND A GREAT USE FOR ONE EACH of those organizers. And this is the TIP:

In December, I had to assemble an oak file cabinet kit that LOML purchased; This morning I assembled a rolling work bench purchased yesterday. (Click here.

In both cases and in a couple of other projects, it was great to quickly organize and lay out -
    screws, bolts, washers and etc,
    screwdrivers and nut drivers,
    pliers or other wrench,
    glue or tape,
. . . for quick assembly without having to look from bag to bag or pick all of them out from a single box, bag, cup or can, and look around for the right tool.

It took me 65 years to start thinking "organize" and have less hassle! These trays sure make it easy for a project.

Hank, that's a good tip. I hate it when putting something together, and there are 5000 screws, washers, etc., and they're spread all over the place.
