Shop Made Or Store Bought Fences And Jigs?

Money doesn't come easy and I have to maximize where I can. To that end, I buy the "basics" and then build my own jigs or add-ons...Usually, my little jig's or add-on's aren't necessarily pretty, but function is more the objective.

+1 for me. Try to make most, keep them simple, durable and cost effective (no heirlooms), and multifunctional if I can. I keep an eye out for useful, unique or improved jig designs when checking out interesting projects in the mags.

Only non-made fence I own is stock fence on my tablesaw (Sears BT3 clone)...but I had a lot of extra melamine scraps at one time.
