    Installing quadrant hinges

Does anyone out there have experience installing quadrant hinges?

If you don't use the (expensive) Brusso hinges, with their (expensive) template it seems to be really tricky.

Any tips or thoughts to share?

No experience but a very cool looking hinge, I've never seen or heard of one of these. By the looks of the install instructions on this link it will be a challenge.

Please let us know what you come up with.

I'm working on a template, but it's a real mind bender. The measurements have to be right on, making it a challenge for my limited measuring and cutting skills.

The link that Mike posted is a good basic method. Its not a difficult hinge to install if you have some router skills. Not really much different than mortising for butt hinges except for the plunge for the arm.

Making a test fit on some scraps first would be the way to go.
