I once made the mistake of running some old cedar, which had been painted, through my planer. It dulled my knives in no time. So I have a question about reclaiming wood.
What is the best way to reclaim wood, from sources like a table top or dresser, for instance? My current thinking is to sand the finish off, or try stripping it. Or maybe it's not even worth trying the reclaiming process?
