import wood materials in sketchup 7, how?

I have 2 high quality .jpg files of walnut and I want to use the paint bucket to cover a speaker box in sketchup.

Is there a way to import the different wood materials?

    thanks,

Put the bitmaps in a folder that you'll remember and then use any sketchup material. Once you put the material on the item you can edit the material and pick the bitmap you want to use.

I meant to answer this yesterday, forgot.

The SketchUp help page for how to do this is here. Basically what Patrick said but this will walk you through it step-by-step.

Be aware that your graphic will need to be a "seamless" design, otherwise the wood grain is going to look pretty funky when it repeats and fills a large area. Some textures are easy to make seamless -- gravel or grass, for instance. Wood grain, not so much.
