    Recycling old BT3 components

I have had the old base unit from my BT3 sitting under my work bench for quite a while now and decided it was time to do something with it. So instead of throwing it out I decided to put a top on it and mount my new Dewalt planer to it. The only thing left to do is add some sort of handle system to it so I can get it up on the back casters and roll it out of the way when not in use.

Some times it pays to be a pack rat.

I think the original BT3K stand is one of the nicer features of the saw. It is substantially more stable that the typical splayed leg setups.

I still use mine under my saw. But if that ever changes, I'll certainly remember this.

A good solution... And you could add a shelf to the lower cross-members for additional storage space.
