Wood glue on shellac coated wood?

Can regular wood glue like Titebond or Elmers adhere to lumbers coated with shellac? If so, would it work better with a 1/2# cut than say a 1# or 2#cut?
I have this dumb idea that a coat of shellac would help to prevent glue marks on rails/stiles joints. It's difficult to wipe glue - before it dries - from the underside when the door is setting in the Bessey clamps.
Dewaxed shellac of course, have to stain and finish afterwards.

PVA or aliphatic resin glues don't stick to shellac finishes too well. You would still have to scrape it off. It's better to wet wipe the glue off if you can. Using a sealer as a prestain may do just that. It could prevent enough absorption.

Thank you, guess I'll stick with the wet wipe.
