I am building a bookcase for the LOML out of oak and she wants to darken it up a bit to match an oak table that has been in her family for at least three generations. She likes the appearance of Black Wax (http://www.bwccompany.com/liberonblackbison.html) in Medium Oak color.
How should the wax be applied? Can it be applied over sealer and a surface coat such as wipe-on poly or should it be applied directly to the wood?
