Painting Moulding

I bought some of that plastic base moulding for my bathroom project. Do I need to prime it first, or can I paint right on it?

I am using a latex paint.

I don't bother with a primer for plastics. I've tried it and it doesn't seem to make any difference. The paint seems to stick as good as the paint with the primer.
