    Lumber Liquidators

I notice they have utility grade 5x3/4 flooring for 99 cents/square foot. In some photos, it's labeled maple, in some its oak but they all look like hickory. For 99 cents per bf, is it worth buying some for door panels?

Also, I've been trying to find the packs of scrap wood from their shipping pallets. Are these still available?

I bought some 'utility grade' oak flooring from them about a year ago. Very dissapointing. It came 'pre-wrapped', so you couldn't really get a good look at what you were buying.
I would say I had to waste 1/3 of it, huge knot holes, chunks missing etc.
Another 1/3rd was under 16", even though I specifically asked and they told me 'most' of it would be over 16". If they meant more than 51% by most, then that is technically correct; I tend to think of 'most' as more than that.
By the time I got done, it ended up costing me about $3.50 bf for what was usable to me, which was more than it would have cost me to buy decent stuff to begin with.
Certainly take a look if they are nearby, but this was my experience wih them.
