    Pin nailing cabinet doors

I have noticed on finished cabinet doors (shaker style) the inside edge on stile/tenon joint is pinned as well as glued. Is this common , and if so what is the general consensus on how many pins/brads used at each joint and what is most common length brad used. I have purchased an 18 ga. brad/finish nailer but have not decided on what size brads yet. Most finished doors I have seen so far have only 1 pin at each joint.

Most production doors are pinned, and usually one is used per. You have to be careful with the shooting angle, and the edge profile. I use a 3/8" pin and have it seat.
