Router burns in Hard Maple

For a reason I choose not to explain I have a little "bit" burn from stopping in a spot on all 4 trim piece's on the last pass. Sanding hasn't seemed to help. Could it be bleached? I will be using poly satin wipe for a finish, no stains. Will be putting on alot of coats to help bring out the color.

I did the same thing a while back and I sanded and sanded and sanded and sanded and, well you get the picture. I doubt that bleach will work but even if it does I think you might be trading a dark spot for a light one that would show up anyway. Is it possible to take another very light pass on the router to remove the burn marks?

Maple is notorious for router burn and planer tear-out. I use a hand scraper with mixed results. Works great on end grain but so-so on face grain if the burn has penetrated deep. To attempt not burning I make several shallow passes with maple as a deep pass will get ya every time.
