    Project Ideas

LOML had purchased some knick knacks from this company and we've been getting catalogs ever since. I ran across some products that may give some of you ideas for future cabinet projects. I thought they were pretty unique.

This one is called "The Suitcase Collection".

This one is called "The Library Collection".

I thought the library collection was kinda cool.

        Remember these?

Not as classy but still in use (June 2004!). They just stack, but never had a need to separate them...

I dig the 'Library' collection. A wee bit beyond my skill level (okay, more than a wee bit, workin on it!) but very cool, particularly the 5 book stacks!
All right, breaks over. Back on your heads!

Not to hijack the thread, but Rod, do you have any instructions or links to how they were assembled so they stack? I have had similar ideas but sure would love to work from a tested plan.

Sorry - no plans - just lots of pieces of paper at the time

The pic shows the construction - all my design...

The top of each carcase is 1/4" MDF (set back - originally I was going to have the drawer fronts inset). Sides/back are 1/2" MDF. The drawer itself holds the carcase open.

+1 on the leather. That is pretty cool c-man. I would love to make something like that. Perhaps a cross between a studley tool chest and something wrapped in leather - that would be awesome!!

                  Hey Cab,

Did you check out their line of Arts & Crafts and Greene & Greene knock-offs. I just love their stuff. Not to buy, but to rip off and build myself.

Thanks for the reminder, I completely forgot about them. Old age or something, I forgot just what.
