    In progress vanity.

This is a vanity (1 of 3) that I am currently working on. "Furniture look" is the goal, rather than a "plain ol' bathroom vanity". They are being based on a picture off the net.

Cherry face frames and posts, finish will be a sanding sealer (which has already been applied to the face frames) with Sherwood Moisture Resistant Lacquer (dull rubbed effect) topcoat.

Doors will be raised panel, with flat panel drawerfronts. Faux door panel and drawer front will be added to the right end that has the strips of Cherry Ply laminated to the carcass where gaps between the posts, doors and drawerfronts will be.

Will add pics as the project continues (hopefully better pictures also).

    Thanks for looking.

I like the 'column' look of the four corner posts. Did you cut a recess in the middle onto thick wood, or did you laminate at the top/bottom?

Laminated. Couldn't come up with a quick-n-dirty way to cut the recess that was time efficient (fer me).

Bah. I'm sure it looks good. All I see is a grey square. I will look again when I am in the office.

                Very Cool

And it is nice to see someone else use the table saw as a regular work bench, because it is the only clear spot in the shop.

Kind of a necessity in my shop, it's either on the TS, or on the floor. No room for a workbench out there.

Looks great so far, can't wait to see how it looks when it is finished. I do think I will have to make sure the LOML does not see the finished picture she is already talking about a bathroom redo, among other other thing$.

Looks great. I would like to redo our vanity but kids stuff is the priority currently. We have a long cabinet with double sinks in one cultured marbile top. Two individual cabinets would look better but also be a lot more work than just replaceing the cabinet. It's a ways off so I have time to think about it. In other words, I really like what you've done and it has me thinking!

Man that does look great. I am gathering materials to do my half bath and I really like this design. I too will be watching this thread as it progresses.
