    Best router bit diameter for trimming laminate

    What is the best diameter flush trim bit for trimming plastic laminate?

    mine is a 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch shank. Just used it yesterday and it works fine.

      A three flute 1/2", with 1/4" shank gives an excellent cut...very smooth. For the small trimmer routers, with less power, a 3/8" diameter, cuts very easy, takes out less material, and gets further into the corner.

      For the no bearing bits (panel pilot), these work very well.
