    Since the coopering is already done, should make this project easier.

      You're right, as coopering can be a PITA. Although once you figure out the angles and get set up it isn't all that bad.

      Found this site and checked out the prices of some of the stuff. Makes me think it would make a good sideline income. Whaddya think?

        Ever used wine barrel chips on the grill? OH MY!!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmm Even better that the JD chips I use.

          That's pretty cool... I wonder if it's comfortable...

          I noticed at the local HD they were selling rain barrels that looked like old wine barrels, too.

            I have a sketch somewhere of a similar chair that my sister had. Not as fancy and I think it slipped apart.

            Did you see the price tag on the bench version????? $575!

              I think I would send them back and asked the winery to fill them. Tell them there was a leak somewhere and by the time they got to you theywere empty.

                What is the diameter of them? If you want to make some money, cut them in half. The garden shops around here sell old whiskey barrels chopped in half (maybe in thirds, discard the middle) for $35. They make really nice planters, aside from the cost.
