I have a iron fence 60ft long by 5ft high to repaint. It will need a lot of scraping off of corrosion and rust, then prime and paint. What name brand primer and paint would you recommend? Should I use flat or gloss finish?
I am partial to Rustoleum paints. Use the rusty metal primer and I would lean toward one of the 'Hammered' paints for a top coat. I did some picnic table legs with it several years ago. The cedar benches and top need refinishing but the legs are still good.

Agree with Pappy on the Rustoleum paint. Used it on some old patio furniture 7-8 years ago and still looking ok. As I remember, scraped and brushed the metal first and then used cans of the spray paint. I didn't prime it first, just used the Rustoleum paint straight from the spray can. I believe I put on 2 coats.
