source for Radiata Pine around MD MV VA PA

I've got some trim work to do for my first building and the window carcases from marvin are made from Radiata Pine. I'm trying to see if I can find a source for the same species around MD WV VA PA.

Alternatively if someone can tell me of an alternative species that readily available I'd appreciate it.

Have you approached Marvin about buying some material from them?

I just finished making a fireplace surround for a neighbor, using radiata pine from New Zealand.
It's straight, knot free, rather soft, and sold at Home Depot's in the Baltimore area, where I live..

Pecker, Cheers mate. I'll pop down to the borg later today.

Pelligrini, I haven't contact Marvin but it's a good suggestion.

Windsor 1 is a manufacturer of mouldings made with radiata pine, you might be able to find a dealer through their website.

Thanks for the Windsor One suggestion. It appears that all their products are pre primed and I need it unfinished.

On a side note. Has anyone here found decent wainscoting sheet in the same area? I looked at the borg and the stuff they had was crap and not really what I would consider to be wainscot. Back in the UK you could get t and g boards for waniscot dirt cheap but I'm feeling lazy and was going to use the sheet stuff.

Check with your local lumber yard, see if they can special order it from a place called Horstmier, thats who I order it for for my customers. As far as the wainscot goes, around here you will find ply-bead, its made by GP but we get ours from a place called US lumber, if your loacl yard dosent stock the US Lumber type, they can order it. ITs made from radiata pine. I had a customer complain about my price on it once, then they needed a piece to finish a job so they went to the Borg, he called me on Monday to order a sheet of the goos stuff and never complained about price again.

As far as WIndosor One goes, its radiata, but I'm pretty sure all there products are finger jointed.
Of course Lumber is expensive, what do you think, it grows on trees
