      Wow, a repetative video of the easiest part of using that jig. about as exciting as watching someone rip boards to width on a table saw.

            Not using a jig to cut dovetails (I find it easier to do it by hand). what's the reason for the initial cut (I guess to remove some of the waste), is done from right to left. Which from my experience is the wrong way.

              The person operating the jig was making rabbeted dovetails and my guess for the initial R-L movement is to cut off the excess with a climb cut to lessen splintering.
