    Sneak peek

    It seems like I've been working on this forever. It's going to be a table to display a bronze statue. There will be a shelf at the height of the lower stretchers and of course a table top.

    I had to take the pic to share with my brother, so I thought I'd show it here, too.

      It's alder, Eddy. I also found some cool book-matched alder plywood for the top.

        WOW! it looks like tenon & mortise joints on angles! very nice, cant wait to see it finished. you did say, you were finishing this weekend, right?

          That is some very nice work. Post pics when it is all done.

          Is the back of the table angled too or just straight across?

              Yep, David, it's flat accross the back, made into three segments to provide symmetry with the front portions.

              I don't think I'll quite get 'er done this weekend! I do hope to have all the cuts done and the joinery complete. Then I'll be sanding for a long while - 34 spindles, four sides each...

                I like it so far! I see a problem though. . .you've got a car in your workshop. . . . . . .
                Enco 12" RT table saw(with router table currently added to right wing), Central Machinary 6" jointer, Delta 16" (17-900) drill press, Ridgid 14" bandsaw, Jet bench top Mortising machine, Porter Cable 6901 series routers (2) and a wide variety of Ryobi 18v tools.
