I've been using my EZ Smart guide on saw horses but I need to get it in to semi-mobile mode. I've attached a pic of the top to show that most of the weight (around 80 lbs) is on the inside 2'X4' area and the extensions are removable. I need to make a cabinet to replace a couple of roll around carts and the dimensions of the cabinet footprint will be attached directly to the top under the 2'x4' ply that you can see on the bottom of the table. I said semi-mobile cause I'm to the point of counting inches and this thing needs to be able to store with the table top lifted vertically so I can use that area as a sharpening station or whatever else needs to come out temporarily. This is also going to be my assembly table.
Long way around to get to the question but I'm assuming that 4 regular door hinges would be strong enough but I'm trying to think of a kind of hinge that would have some sort of hydraulic action to be self supporting in the vertical position. I've done some searching but since I don't know what I'm looking for, it hasn't been successful yet.
