Project Materials - Solid wood flooring?

I noticed a number of local craigslist postings for what appears to be 3/4" thick solid hardwood flooring. Assuming it's unfinished, what are the pros and cons of using the stuff. Any reason it could not be glued up into panels?

Someone's selling 500 bf of Jatoba (Brazilian cherry) for $2/sf. Even though the boards are only a bit over 3" wide, seems like a steal. I could use if for trim if nothing else.

I say go for it. I got for free a few years ago a couple hundred square feet of 3/4" Red Oak T&G used as wall paneling. I had to remove it from the walls and the jobsite for the deal. I used that stuff every chance I got.
