    How to build desk

I would like to make a long desk similar to this photo
http://www.partnerhomeoffice.com/products_two.html and was wondering if I could have some advice on making it. All I can think of is two pieces of plywood stacked together with the ends capped. Think that would be sturdy enough? Any advice/ideas would be appreciated.

Two pieces of plywood with the edge banded with some iron on veneer would be fine for the top but attaching the legs seems like the tough part. I would look hard for hardware - I think it will be the hardest part. You could possibly put 3 or 4 inch thick wooden blocks to attach the legs but it could spoil the look. Maybe if you put effectively large dowels inside the legs and then screwed through the legs into the blocks, it would be strong enough and not too visible.

For the table, 2 sheets of ply laminated would work. I would make the edge banding a bit wider to give it a slight apron effect that would hide the brackets on the legs. The legs you show should work fine. The price isn't bad and they come in several finishes at the base price.
