    Where to buy edge banding?

Where can I find 3/4" edge banding to put onto the cut end of some cabinet kick board? I'm looking for the kind that has glue on the back and you attach it with a hot iron. I only need about 3 pieces about 4" long.

my local ACE Hardware has it hidden next to the door and window seals. you can also look up a fastcap dealer
    http://www.fastcap.com/locator/tobuy.asp
fastcap sells a peel and stick edgeband that works really well.

I looked everywhere at Home Depot and couldn't find it. Where do they usually keep it?

At the HD nearest to me it is kept in the lumber section. The hardwood and the melamine shelving are in the same aisle, and it's in there, IIRC.

            YMMV

Rockler and Woodcraft have it as well, You can check online, they are 13/16" so that you can apply and trim as needed.

                edge banding?

Klingspor woodworking, Woodcraft, Rockler, probably at Peachtree woodworking and about any good woodworking shop supply stores should have what you want....only trouble is....they sell it in rolls probably 8' or 10 '
                or 12' lenghts. eezlock

HD and lowes generally only have it in red oak and white melamine, but at the ones near me it's in the aisle with the melamine shelving and plywood, usually near the melamine at HD.

If you need another species, the woodworking stores or catalogs are the way to go.

If you find it, you can also apply it with a heat gun. Press it down with a smooth block until it cools slightly. You can use a mill file to dress the edge. Don't start it on fire. DAMHITK
