Anyone have a recommendation for 22" pocket door slides/hinges for an entertainment center. The plans I am using use the Rockler Heavy Duty Flipper Door Slides. These run $70 for the slides and $58 for the hinge/carrier strip for just one door. That would be $256 for both! The overal door size is 52 1/2" x 17 1/4" made from 1/4" panel and 3/4" x 2 1/2" rails/stiles.
Pocket door hinges?

Have you checked www.cshardware.com? Don't know if they carry these, but if they do, they'll probably be less expensive....

Pocket "room doors" don't have hinges, rather a sliding track assembly:

My only recommendation is not to get too cheap. I bought slides and tried using regular european hinges and I had to make the gap too big to make it work. The hinges sold for these pocket doors are special (or I got the wrong kind). My second attempt using a kit with slides and hinges in a set worked much better. It wasn't cheap but was less than $75. I probably got them from Lee Valley or Woodworkers Hardware.
