    Kitchen Cabinet Top Coat

The boss and I recently remodeled our kitchen. The cabinets were purchased and are maple. I am contemplating building a bookshelf and want to match as close as possible. I bought some stain from the manufacturer but I can't figure out what they are sealed with. The touch up kit had a bottle that said it was for the top coat and the label mentioned laquer.

Any insights? It doesn't seem to be shiny enough to be polyurethane. I can post a pic if helpful.

    Thanks.

It sounds like it could be M.L. Campbell, "Magnamax" or another one of their offerings.
