    What I have been working on;

    Well I thought I would give you guys a look at what I been working on recently. It is another shop cabinet and this one will be home to my router bits and miscellaneous router table paraphernalia. It is again for better or worse my own design. It is made from Lyptus, Birch, and Maple. The different Lyptus boards I choose to use on this project had quite a bit of color difference between them. I final fitted the drawers and hung the door tonight so I thought I would take a quick picture.

    I will post more pictures on this later as I get it completed and hung. I will also expand more on the details of this project.

    Thanks for having a look and comments are most welcome.

    Ok - I'm impressed! I have trouble finding red oak and you guys use lyptus and the prettiest maple I've ever seen - for shop cabinets!! Where do you guys find this stuff?????

    Ok deep breath, come out of depression, fix night cap.

      Beautiful, Ken. Seems like a waste of some fantastic wood to use that Maple in shop cabinets.

        That is very, very nice - I'd be o.k. with putting that in my family room!

          Nice, indeed. I like lyptus for so many reasons. Mostly from a green aspect. Rockler and woodcraft typically have this stuff, but overpriced. Otherwise look for a lumber supplier.

            Just bought similar maple today. I'm with Pappy on this. You're kidding right? It's really going in your house.

              Nice job. Having it in your own place to look at any time you want is where it's at. Furniture like that is like a drug. Surrounding oneself with work like that makes it all worthwhile. I hate to think of the work I gave away only for the money. I should have asked for visitation rights.

                Kenneth,

                You Suck!

                That cabinet looks better than what is in my house and you keep it in your shop?

                Your starting to get on my nerves!

                  Well I probably should have mentioned that the Birdseye Maple is veneer and I have A LOT of it. When Rocklers was blowing out their veneer I bought quite a bit. It was my wife’s idea for me to start making fancier cabinets and such for the shop. She told me there was no reason I did not as that is what I like to do! It also allows me to try different things and techniques and if they go bad it is no big deal after all it is just a shop cabinet right?

                  Scott, nice to see your name on a post! I miss our forum conversations.
