    New designs.

Decided to step off the beaten path and start working on some bandsaw box designs that my sister drew up for me (she's the artist of the family). These are the first two from that set.

I'm still rather undecided on what to do for pulls for these drawers, and I don't think Red Oak will be the wood of choice for these in the future.

Still a few cuts, some more glue and plenty of sanding to go.

Nice Stan - I like the red oak, you can send them my way if you'e unhappy with them (have a couple of daughters who would be grateful).

Very cool ideas, and well done, the cutting. Gotta love bandsaw boxes. Are you going to give us a scan of the design?? ;-)

BS boxes look like more fun than doors. For handles maybe you can get creative and do a glue up and shape them in a pattern to go with the box. The boxes look great, takes a lot of time, and patience. Keep us posted with progress pics.

Those are looking real good, Stan. Walnut pulls would look good, at least to me.
Looking forward to seeing them sanded and finished. BS boxes is something I get to get back to doing.

Nice Boxes, I've been wanting to try my hand at BS boxes myself. But I have to finish/start the other projects that are promised. So maybe after the 1st of the year I'll get some time LOL. Again nice work and maybe it's an excuse to by the Ryobi OSS at BORG.

Nice design and cut! So far I've only copied designs from the book. One of these days I may get brave enough to try to design one myself.

I've been thinking about trying those.
Question I have always wondered is typical dimensions for a small box such as most shown here?
I've got a lot of 4X oak, beech and maple that's just begging to be cut up.

What about theos spring type "touch latches", although I not sure if they come small enough for your nifty boxes.

                        Neat work

The boxes I have been doing run from 5-7" deep, 6-9" tall and from 4-14" wide. A lot of flexability with them for the most part.

Thanks for the comments and ideas on the latches/pulls, still not fully decided on what will be used. Guess I'll just start trying some ideas and see how they come out.
