Sculpted Rocking Chair Class - Day 5

I started the day by cutting and biscuiting the crest rail to the back legs. Here's a picture of the crest rail (only the bottom is cut to allow the spindle holes to be drilled using a drill press sometime tomorrow).

We then went to work on the rockers. We needed to build up an area on the rockers where the legs will attach in order to provide enough material for sculpting the legs to rockers joints.

The two blocks covered in glue squeeze out were added

We then began work on the spindle patterns and cutting out the spindles. Here are the spindle patterns, and my spindles after the first bandsawing step. I began grinding them uniform with power tool 6:00PM cutoff came. I'll have to resume in the morning. My Dewalt grinder sure makes life easier.
