Amazon's new "Industrial & Scientific" category products

I just saw this link on another forum for a new section on Amazon for Industrial & Scientific products. It's denoted as beta right now, but may prove useful for all those who make jigs & fixtures of their own.

    Metals
    Plastics & Ceramics
Mechanical Components (bearings, belts, o-rings, gears)
    Fasteners
    Wire
    Springs
    Tools & Safety

    Thanks for the link.

Just what I need — another candy store. Sigh...

I am not sure we are looking at a deal here. I did a quick check against what I have been buying and a ½”X1”X6” Brass bar stock on Amazon is $11.25 whereas a 12” piece at OnlineMetals is $19.58. That means that Amazon is $1.46 higher. Just a quick compare.

I've been looking for some stainless mesh. They have a nice selection.

I noticed alot of the items that Amazon is listing come from Small Parts, Inc. as well as The Nutty Company. I've not used either one.
