I'm thinking of building a mobile base (with cabinets) for my BT3100, on top of this framework:
I'll be removing the foam padding in the middle. Despite that depression towards the top ends, it is perfectly level on all 4 corners.
I've read a couple of posts on related topics, but can't figure how I'd build the torsion box (?) on top of this - basically integrating this into the torsion box. This metal pipe framework is very strong and the whole thing can bear 300lbs. I got it for $20, much less that just the 4 castors put together.
Any ideas you may have ?
