This may be a stupid question, but I didn't find anything covering this previously. I need to join two pieces of 1/4" plywood to make a 5x6 piece. I have cut rabbets in the two edges I want to join and the resulting joint is very smooth, but I am worried that after gluing them the thickness of the dried glue is going to cause a height difference that is small but noticeable to a perfectionist.
Does anyone know how much difference I can expect the glue to make in the joint? How much is acceptable? During setup I used a scrap piece of wood, and when it didn't catch on the edge of the joint I considered it reasonably flush.
Thanks for the help.
