    CD Storage Cabinet Plans

    Can someone point me to plans (free or paid) for a CD storage cabinet similar to this;

    http://www.avthinginitsplace.com/Mer...C&Affiliate=sh

    If I were good enough I could adapt plans from a shallow bookcase....but I'm not that good! I could try, though. I'd prefer something I could make with mostly plywood (for the case).
    Thanks much
    Kofi

      Pappy,

      I've seen this one already...I was hoping there were others that I'd missed.

      Thx
      Kofi

        Kofi,

        Maybe you can use this bookcase plan?

          I put CD STORAGE PLANS in google and got a ton of hits. Some of those looked pretty neat...

            Heh, this is not really of much help in this case, but after years of trying to keep my CDs organized, I gave up. All my CDs are now ripped to high quality MP3, and the resulting 30+ GB of music reside on our media PC connected to our home theater. As new CDs are acquired, they are ripped and join the rest in basement storage. We still use DVDs, but I am working on builing a media server that'll have over a terabyte of storage - so we can keep all our movies on it and stream to any PC or TV in the house.

              Thanks all,

              the book case looks interesting too. I'll also try Google again....and I'm too much of an audiophile to consign myself to 'mp3's for the rest of my natural life!

              Thx

                Hmm... if you are handy enough to build that, you have to be handy enough to modify planys, right?

                I was thinking of finging free plans for a mission dresser, and modifying it to look like that picture you posted.

                  Well, after several slow months, here it is. Red oak with American cherry stain. Scaled up to hold 300 CDs.
