How did he make that plane?

If you are interested at all I finally finished writing up how I made the plane recently. So feel free to have a read and make any comments.

Sure was a lot of fun in the making.

The writeups are in the wood work section of my site.

Thanks for doing that write up. While I don't see a mill or metal lathe in my near future. (I wish.) I did learn some things that will be useful in building smaller projects.

Amazing work, real nice. I do plan to eventually create a 'machining corner' in my shop. But for now I just don't have the extra $1000+ to spend on a decent rig. Btw, what do you think of those lathe/mill combo machines?

I’m glad some people liked the write up.

Scorrpio, I like my metal corner of the shop. It allows me to do about what ever I want. I am not however a big fan of those combined machines as I like them to be separate as I can move seamlessly from one setup to another. I also wanted a bigger lathe to increase my capacity so I went with the 9X20 and have really enjoyed it.
