Plastic Resin Glue - On-line or Orlando?

Is it best to buy plastic resin glue on-line vs. local to insure that it is fresh? Any suggestions for sources / price / freshest?

I have found only one place in Orlando that has DAP plastic resin glue. (Ace at Orange and Grant). It's a great hardware store, but it looks like the inventory on the shelf is the same dust covered tubs that were there when I bought from them a couple of years ago. That's beyond the 1-year shelf life.

    >> Anyone know where to buy FRESH plastic resin glue in the Orlando area? If not, I'll order on-line.

    Thanks for your help,
    - Lonnie

Lonnie, they just expanded that place, and stayed open while they did it. I'll bet everything in the store is covered with dust. Seriously, though, if the product is date-critical, there is probably a date code on it somewhere. You could write it down and e-mail the manufacturer for a translation.
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

I watched the expansion of the Ace store, too. Glad a local store can compete with the big boxes.

I can't find a date code anywhere on the DAP container.

I've used that glue a couple of times. It comes as a powder that you mix with water. The mixed up portion has a pot life, but I don't think the powder does.

I mixed up some plastic resin glue that I had bought a couple of years ago. I had read that it stays grainey when out of date. Guess what -- it's still good. Looks like the shelf life may be longer than a year.

I'll buy locally from Ace since my project will require more than I have.

          Thanks for your responses.
