    hinge adive/thoughts?

I am just about done with a cabinet to store bows for our local bowyer and need some advice/direction on hinge sources and styles etc.
The cabinet is 6'+ tall by 24" wide and made of oak. The color he chose is a honey maple stain. It does have a sliver of walnut under the dentil molding to accent the molding but the walnut color doesen't really stand out.The door will be glass with an acid etch. It is 3/4" thick and have a recessed 3/8" overlay.
I was thinking of an antique brass hinge but would like others thoughts on what they think. Any particular hinges you like? Colors or finishes?
    Thanks in advance.

IMO the antique brass would look good. With the honey maple stain perhaps an antique brass with the little 'dimples' as if it has been hammered ?

Thanks Guys. Do you have a source for these type of hinges that I can use on a recessed overlay door?
I didn't see anything in Rockler. I like the idea of the hammered finish.

Rockler does have some 3/8 inset hinges.

I have been using the finial ones and have been happy with them. One of the other styles may be more appropriate for your cabinet. I don't think any are hammered though.

Ok I guess I am going to have to go for an oil rubbed bronze instead of the brass look. I can't find the right hinge in the hammered finish. Oil rubbed brinze would look nice too I think. Hope I can find one with finial tips or something similar. Spokane Harware may have some. I looked at Amerock but all I get is "coming soon" when I click on something.

                Smoke,

One more suggestion. I don't particularly care for ordering from them, they seem rather disorganized, and their web site leaves a lot to be desired, but Van Dykes restorers has a great selection of hardware. www.vandykes.com.
