    Would Anyone Happen to Have...

    A copy of ShopNotes Magazine Volume 72 (Nov/Dec 2003)??

I am interested in the Fold-Down Workstation shown here http://www.plansnow.com/wbenchfold.html.

I want to build something like that for my garage, but I am unsure if it is a bit much for my skill level (first major project). I would like to see the article before dropping 10 bucks on plans that I might not end up needing! If anyone would be willing to scan and email, or copy and mail me a copy, I would appreciate it. In exchange, I would be happy to share the full downloaded plans with the person who helps, if they would like.

I know it's a shot-in-the-dark, but never hurts to try!

Got them, Thanks!! This is going to be an interesting (frustrating) project (learning experience), and I can't wait to get started (spend lots of money on material and accessories)!!!!

I added some 'approval' to your 'reputation' as a beginning payback!

Don't you just love taking on a project, just because it gives the excuse to get more tools? I just built a nice gunwale-mount fishing rod rack because I wanted to buy a scrollsaw. I don't have a boat.
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

Its a beautiful bench. I don't have a drill press, jointer, or planer though. I might manage a drill press but not a jointer and/or planer.Think it could be done without?

I believe so. At least I hope so, since I don't have those things either. I don't even have good clamps (yet...). The bench top in the picture is butcher-block style (I guess the correct term is 'laminated'), so those tools would be nice. however, the instructions give an alternate method of making a top wich consists of stacking and glueing three layers of 3/4" plywood and toping that with a 1/4" hardwood sheet. That is the way I am going to tackle it.

                      Jon,
For me starting a project that challenges my current ability is a major part of the fun part of woodworking.
If I build a couple of copies of a project I try to add something new to the desigh that is something I've never done before. It all adds to the ability knowledge bank.

I think that's going to be a popular request. Can you possibly post it or an URL to it?
